Beginner’s Track

Are you ready to learn Lindy Hop? Or know someone who’s eager to learn but can’t commit to weekly classes?

We have a special Beginner Track specifically for people with little to no experience with Lindy Hop. You’ll get a crash course in the basics of Swing and Lindy Hop, watch amazing competitions, and dance to a top-notch band and DJs.

You’ll learn the basics of Swing and Lindy Hop that will get you on the dance floor, have entrance to our dances and be able to watch the fun contests – including our famous Invitational Draw, where some of the world’s best dancers randomly draw their partners and music.

This year we have amazing teachers from right here in Houston: Robin Carlson and Jerry Foote! We will also feature a few classes taught by Ursula Hicks and Jeron Tuell.

Be sure to take a look at the Add-on classes if you plan to take the Beginner Plus Track! You can choose 1 free add-on class in either Balboa or Collegiate Shag.

We also have a couple of community extras for you and your friends. Come early to our FREE Thursday night dance, join us on Friday afternoon to check out the competition prelims, and hang out at our Vino&Vinyl on Saturday and Sunday evenings before our main dances!
